This blog article is summarizing the 87 Erasmus Mundus Projects Scholarships, as discussed here: ´https://daadscholarship.com/87-erasmus-mundus-projects-scholarships-2027-2028-complete-application-process/#google_vignette
For the 2027 intake, international applicants must select an individual Erasmus Mundus Joint Master, meet that consortium’s academic rules and apply directly through its own website. One Erasmus Mundus application can place you in a master’s degree taught across several universities and countries, but the first challenge is choosing the right
project—not completing a central European scholarship form.
The European Commission selected 87 projects including 37 new Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters in 2027 and announced that they would begin opening applications for studies starting in September 2027. Their arrival expands an already large catalogue covering engineering, artificial intelligence, health, law, economics, climate, food, media, social sciences and creative subjects.
However, inclusion in the catalogue does not automatically confirm that a programme is accepting applications or offering EU scholarships in every intake. That must be checked on the programme’s own website.

What exactly are you applying for?
You are applying for one integrated master’s programme delivered by an international university consortium, not for a short exchange semester and not for permission to choose any European universities you like. The consortium has already designed the curriculum, partner institutions, mobility tracks, credit recognition and final qualification.

An Erasmus Mundus Joint Master must involve at least three higher-education institutions from three countries. At least two of those countries must be EU Member States or countries associated with the Erasmus+ programme. Companies, laboratories, public bodies and non-European universities may also participate as partners, but appearing on a consortium’s partner list does not necessarily make every organization a teaching destination.
Tour Colleges
Every enrolled student—whether funded or self-financed—must complete at least two physical study periods in two countries. Each compulsory period must represent at least one academic semester, normally 30 ECTS, and those two countries must differ from the student’s country of residence at enrolment. At least one must be an EU Member State or an Erasmus+ associated country. Virtual study cannot replace this compulsory mobility.
A two-year pathway might place you in France for the first semester, Germany for the second, Spain for a specialization and Sweden for a thesis. That is only an illustration: your actual route may be fixed by the consortium or determined by the track you select. After completing the integrated curriculum, you receive either one joint degree issued on behalf of multiple institutions, multiple degrees from partner universities, or a permitted combination.
