As the recognized astronomer, astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, Carl Sagan once said:
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.”
Maybe you’ve read a hundred times this famous quote by this American astrologer; but, Have you ever stopped to think what is the real meaning behind this popular saying?
Imagination is and always will be a great tool for inspiring innovation and progress. The greatest innovators of all time had the ability of confronting and dealing with reality by using the creative power of the mind. Can innovation exist without imagination? We really doubt it…
“Carry us to worlds that never were” means that one can use their imagination to find ways of solving current problems by imagining a way to solve them that has not yet been done. Without imagination one rarely a way to solve them that has not yet been done.
We encourage you to always think outside the box, out of the box is where good ideas come from! Probably you won’t be the next Einstein or the next Galileo Galilei, but for sure, you can make a real change at your working environment, at your University or even, in your life.
