Description

Are you fascinated by both chemistry and biology, and do you want to contribute to solutions for global challenges in health, food and sustainability? At HZ University of Applied Sciences, the Chemistry programme combines Applied Chemistry and Life Sciences in a practice-oriented curriculum that prepares you for a career in the chemical or biomedical sector.

From developing solutions for healthier lives to analysing DNA in forensic investigations or creating more sustainable products and processes, chemistry is everywhere. At HZ, you don’t just learn about these challenges — you learn how to work on them yourself.

Somewhere between a lecture on coastal resilience and a bike ride to the beach, you will realise that HZ is unlike any university you have heard of before. We are small enough that your teachers know your name and big enough to offer world-class research, multiple international programmes, and partner universities in over 50 countries. HZ gives you the space to actually focus, a community to genuinely belong to, and the practical education to step straight into a career anywhere in the world.

Study Chemistry at HZ and turn science into solutions for the world of tomorrow.
