Study management of Product Development

The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is listed among the top 100 universities worldwide as one of the leading institutions for engineering and natural sciences in Europe. The HECTOR School of Engineering & Management is the Technology Business School of the KIT offering a unique combination of the latest technological know-how and management expertise. Under the guidance of excellent lecturers from academia and industry, students come together to study in an intimate group setting at our campus, located in Southern Germany.

Learn how participants in the Master of Science program in Management of Product Development develop the skills to analyze, plan, control and optimize product development processes in their companies through direct application and research-oriented methods. Utilizing agile systems design as an integrated approach for product development, participants will learn how to successfully convert ideas and innovation into competitive products. This international M.Sc. program enables participants to support and further develop innovation processes in their workplace environment by cultivating new creativity-boosting techniques.

To get the most out of this experience, we require a minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of Product Development. Typical profiles from our participants include a background in the following industries: automotive, automotive suppliers, mechanical engineering, measuring instrument manufacturers, manufacturers of electrical and household appliances and trading companies. Furthermore, participants in the Master of Science program in Management of Product Development must provide proof of English language proficiency, e.g. with confirmation of English as a native language or through testing (e.g. TOEFL score of a minimum of 570 PBT; 230 CBT; 90 iBT or IELTs at least 6,5 points) or appropriate proof of C1 level.

Admission Requirements

First academic degree (Bachelor, Master, Diploma, etc. (University, University of Applied Sciences, Cooperative State University)) in: · Mechanical Engineering · Electrical Engineering · Mechatronics · Business Engineering · or a related subject Basic knowledge in: · Higher Mathematics or Stochastics Basic knowledge in one of the following Fields: · Methods for designing and dimensioning machine systems · Manufacturing Engineering · Materials Science or Engineering Mechanics A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the specific field of the Master Program (depending on the first degree´s level); HECTOR Schools recommendation: > 3 years References are needed as evidence https://www.hectorschool.kit.edu/admission_requirements_msc.php
